reply

Yeah, he's adopted. They claim his father is of West African descent. But they're obviously unaware of his full background. His father was not a full-blooded black African.

Yeah, I wouldn't wanna be in the area when this guy uses the john.

reply

A real dick move by Nike to sponsor this asswipe.

reply

Why would Nike want association with a guy who knelt during the national anthem? Something's fishy here.

reply

Because they are thought it would be woke and edgy.

It may or may not have made money for Nike. Reports vary.

If it did or did not make money does not negate that it was a dick move to try to give credibility to this asswipe.

I stopped buying Nike sportswear and I am not the only one.

reply

I boycott Nike too. Mostly due to the hypocrisy of them (and Colin) running him out there with, "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything. Just do it" and then make their money running sweatshops and exploiting child labor.

This link is pretty recent jekporkins--

https://cslabornews.org/2022/05/09/nike/

"April 2022

As we get older, our minds start to understand the world around us more and all the bad things that our parents and the government hid from us for so long start to come out. If one were to look past the brand deals, the sponsored athletes and the clothes, one would see that children are making everything you buy from Nike.

In March 2020, a damning report from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute revealed that the Chinese government was forcing hundreds of young Uyghur women to produce Nike shoes in the Taekwang factory in Laixi City. Nike says the factory has stopped using forced labor. The South Korean-owned Taekwang factory is one of Nike’s largest suppliers, producing 8 million pairs of Nike footwear a year—including signature lines such as Air Max and Shox. It partnered with Chinese-government-run forced-labor programs that are linked to crimes against humanity. One of these programs takes Turkic residents from rural areas in Xinjiang, the northwest region of China, and forces them to leave behind their children and other members of their families to work in factories across China. Another relocates detainees who have “graduated” from a network of concentration camps in Xinjiang. (discoursemagazine)

Nike claims that a particular factory in Qingdao stopped adding new workers from Xinjiang in 2019, and that the factory no longer had anyone from the region employed within. However, the above independent Australian report says that last year the factory very much did have workers from Xinjiang in it, and produced over 7 million pairs of shoes for Nike in 2019, nearly all of them being children. Even after being accused of child slave labor, nothing changed, they kept on working these children with little to no pay..."

reply

Nike has used forced labor in China for decades. African-Americans have no problem with slave labor, as long as that slave labor doesn't involve them. Kaepernick, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, all of them are perfectly fine with Nike and what they do.

reply

yes he does not look black so everything he do is overcompensate for this

black peoples accept this man who look like arab and have white linneage?

he raised as rich man by rich white peoples and he become millionair 50 times over - this man have privledge beyond what most black american have so why do they like this man?

reply

Well that's why I compare him to Obama. He's genetically half black. Yet he has no connections to the black community.

reply

yes onan you are correct but i can understand why black peoples like obama because his name sound black and face look like black man

but this arab man who have name 'colin kaepernick' - which sound like name of rich lacrosse douche which is what this man is - he is raised as rich douche! they should hate this man!

reply

You could be correct. They claim his father is black West African. But the father's identity is unknown.

reply

i bet he is arab, onan. this man is fraud he is arab man and appropriate black culture.

reply

Yeah it's funny how Ghetto Barack and Michelle became (same with Oprah), when speaking to an all-black (or mostly black) audience. Them peoples could put on the black jive Ebonics talk! Child, I tell you what mmmm mmmm mmm!

Off topic: I thought it was a bit inappropriate though when Trump bulldozed Michelle's watermelon garden at the White House to install a putting green.

reply

Barack grew up on the mean streets of Honolulu. Kamala Harris's mother is from India. Where are all the real black folks?

reply

It's a sad reality that a REAL black can't win over America yet.

reply

Half black. Adopted & raised by rich whites.

reply

Yeah, I see now. His mother is white. He never knew his black African father. He was raised by white adoptive parents. This guy is about as black as Barack Obama, meaning he's really not.

reply

The good thing is he loves himself to much to let anyone else get famous off him. So that means no children from him.

reply

I thought he was Middle Eastern at first. He looks like an Arab from the peninsula or something like that. The Nation of Islam and Farrakhan think that Arabs are black (they are actually Caucasian).

reply

"Arabic" is more a culture than an ethnicity. A Lebanese Arab is most likely white. But a Sudanese Arab is most likely black.

The Arabs conquered many lands and intermixed with the local indigenous peoples. For example, Egyptians speak Arabic and are considered "Arab". But DNA tests show they only have about 10% Arab DNA (i.e. like that of Saudi Arabians, the original Arab people). Egyptians are Egyptians! They are descended from the pyramid builders, not their Muslim conquerors.

I'm not sure Minister Farrakhan has said Arabs are "black". The Black Muslim theory on origin of the races is complex and shrouded in mythology. But he said Islam is the "black" religion.

reply

Not really.

Arabs ar an ethnic group.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabs

reply

"Ethnicity" is a loose term. Arabs are similar to Latinos in that they are a loose group which share a culture, yet can be any race and have different genotypes.

reply

Nope.

Not even close.

Latinos are called like that due to a common factor: the roots of their language.

Arabs are purely called like that based on ethnicity.

reply

Nope. Arabs are connected by a language as well, Arabic.

Arabs originated in the Arabian Peninsula and conquered the Middle East and North Africa. But there were not enough of them to overwhelm the genetic make-up of the locals. As I told you, Egyptians have only about 10% Arab DNA. They're 90% descended from the ancient Egyptians.

You have black Arabs in Sudan and white Arabs in Lebanon.

reply

Those are NOT Arabs, those are mixed. It's like you would call me Scotish because I speak English and have 1% Scottish blood.

Egyptians are NOT Arabs, as you just realized.

"The Egyptians are not Arabs, and both they and the Arabs are aware of this fact. They are Arabic-speaking, and they are Muslim—indeed religion plays a greater part in their lives than it does in those either of the Syrians or the Iraqi."

Again: Arab is an ethnicity, NOT just a common language.

reply

No, Egyptians call themselves Arabs. Egypt was even renamed the United Arab Republic years ago.

"Arab" is a catchall term for everyone from Iraqis to Moroccans.

As I said, it's like Latinos. Both Arabs and Latinos can be white, black and everything in between.

reply

you are wrong. Read more. I provided you with real information, not your fantasy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabs

"Arab people, are an ethnic group[a] who carry that ethnic identity, share a common ancestry, culture, history and/or language, mainly inhabiting the Arab world in Western Asia and North Africa, and to a lesser extent the Horn of Africa, and the western Indian Ocean islands (including the Comoros).[67] An Arab diaspora is also present around the world in significant numbers, most notably in the Americas, Western Europe, Turkey, Indonesia, and Iran.[67][68][69][70]"

And I stop here, if you are too stubborn or too dumb to understand sorry but I gave you all the info.

OFCOURSE during the history Arabs have mixed with other people and now you have people with x% Arab blood but they are as Arab as Megan is African black.

reply

The term "ethnicity" is malleable and doesn't even apply to the topic.

And you haven't refuted a word I said.

The Egyptians are not Arabs, and both they and the Arabs are aware of this fact.

Explain why Egypt was called the "United Arab Republic" if Egyptians don't consider themselves Arabs?

As I told you, it's a loose cultural group. Arabs can be any race, some are black, some are white. It's not a real ethnic group identifiable by DNA. It's a cultural group.

reply

Strictly speaking, only those from the Arabian Peninsula are Arabs. Iraqis, Egyptians, Lebanese, Palestinians, Moroccans, Algerians, etc, are Arabized, and to varying degrees watered-down Arabs. Middle Eastern Arabs don't regard blacks as Arab. They call black people abd/abeed (meaning slave or slaves in Arabic). There are those from the Levant who think even Egyptians are "too black" to be Arab.

reply

👍

Yes, you are correct. Ass-om is wrong.

reply

" The Nation of Islam and Farrakhan think that Arabs are black (they are actually Caucasian)."

that is because peoples like him want to take credit for arab achivement in world history.

reply

Maybe 10%. Tops.

reply

About as black as Kamala. Wonder if his family owned slaves like hers.

reply

Look at Haile Selassie... Arab... yet considered the almighty ruler of Rastafarianism. One drop rule. Nobody seems to differentiate descendants of slaves from the Africans who enslaved them.

reply

Haile Selassie was Ethiopian. How do you get that he was Arab? He was also Christian.

But yeah, interesting that Rastafarians see him as their spiritual ruler. Also, no Ethiopians were slaves or slave traders. Ethiopia is in a remote mountainous region of northeast Africa. The slaves came from West Africa.

reply

I simply looked at his face and said, "I'll be damned. That's an Arab."

As for slavery, I'm not sure, but they say Selassie outlawed it. I was assuming they sold slaves like crazy to India and the Arab world, but I don't actually know.

reply

Okay, all those fools sold slaves over there. But the slaves in America came from West and Central Africa.

Remember when Oprah Winfrey said she was descended from Zulu royalty? She was full of s**t. The American slave traders never went as far south as Zulu territory. The Zulus had treaties with the Dutch and the British and they were not raided by slave traders.
