While watching her in Cinderella I thought she would be a perfect ....

I couldn't get past the mismatch of hair and eyebrows. 🍋 Cinderella took place before blond hair dye, the look was so out of place for the time frame.

I think she'd be great as Buffy Summers.

Hair dye as we know it now, yes but people changed their hair color as early as the Tudor period in England with different substances, darker, lighter, etc and this I believe is supposed to take later on in time, in France, who was definitely ahead of England with "fashion" for the sake of fashion rather than comfort or status.

It was rather annoying though, Emilia Clarke's character Daenerys pulls it off much, much, much better and it's more of a drastic difference.

Other things that annoyed me in this movie though was the fact that even though she is rather skinny, her waist looked CGI'd to be skinnier when she was in that blue dress. Also she does a lot of what I'm going to call "collarbone" breathing. That's the actress though, not the movie/character. I suppose though with corsets that tight you would have to breath in your upper chest.

It's also such a typical take on Cinderella. I was bored. There were new elements sure, and finally Cate Blanchet was in a role that suits what I consider her true personality although she could have pushed it further and Disney could have pushed her further, especially as a character. My favorite evil step-mother in Cinderella was actually the cartoon's version but in "A Twist in Time", that version of her was brilliant! Truly someone I can understand cowing to and yet knowing you have to stand up for yourself.

I say give this movie a miss and go rewatch "Ever After" or the Disney cartoon version or even Brandy's version, strange casting choices when you try to figure out how genes work but good actors, besides I've always like Roger and Hammerstein's version. Or better yet, go read the original. Or if you want something unique and a different take/twist, read the YA novel: Just Ella. All of those are SO much better.

This movie's version was not needed, Cinderella has been told so many times, if they were going to do it, they should have reworked everything.

I think she'd be too pretty to play Jane Eyre
