I don't know how else to phrase this so im going to just ask.... does anyone else find that she has a IRRITATING speaking voice? Sometimes when im watching Girls and she is in the scene I cant help but feel she is whiny and annoying and it makes her performance unappealing to me. but that very well be part of her Marnie schtick and if thats the case then shes done a good job by making me shutter. but I havent done any compare and contrast with her regular self and Marnie, so I cant be certain.

However, her singing voice is very lovely.

Does anyone know if Allison is ANYTHING like Marnie at all? Because I can totally SEE that being true and if thats the case, I know the answer to my question earlier on why she isnt getting work. Because no one likes SELF ASSUMMNG, SELF IMPORTANT & ANNOYING traits.

Yes, I loathe her nasally, flat, monotone speaking voice as well. I think I started a separate thread here on it a while back.

I can not STAND her character Marnie, and Allison Williams herself isn't very different from this character.

I think her singing is quite boring, and I don't know HOW "Peter Pan" has ever become a hit. The story sucks in and of itself, much less the dumb music. But the story....a boy who never wants to grow up. There is nothing endearing about this stupid story.

But I found Allison Williams' voice EXTREMELY irritating from the very first episode of "Girls". I wish Lena Dunham would kill Marnie off.

I know. I hate her singing voice as well....way too nasally.

But her speaking voice is far worse, far more irritating.

Her vocal fry is so pretentious and annoying! Fingers down a chalkboard. I sometimes mute her scenes.
