Vera Farmiga doesn't exactly have a whole lot of pull in the industry, so it escapes me how Taissa would be handed roles based on her sister.
That being said, if either (or both) women want to take a bath with me, I'd gladly supply the bubbles.
Look through her filmography and compare to Vera. Almost every film she's done has a connection to people Vera has worked with in some way.
shareI don't see why you're singling her out. Hollywood is a pretty small community, so you can make that point about tons of people working in the industry. Take the careers of Bryce Dallas Howard, Gwenyth Paltrow or Zooey Deschanel.

shareIsn't that the way it often works, though? People get work all the time due to their social connections. Heck, I've gotten a couple jobs in the past due to catching up with friends at parties and casually asking what they had been up to lately.

It does help get the foot in the door, though, for sure.
