She's obviously biracial--black and white, more than likely. I'm just guessing though. There was a brief item on her on the local news in Detroit just before the show debuted---apparently she'd attended the Marvin Winans Academy of Performing Arts---the location I'm familiar with is on Detroit's East Side. So I guess she's from the D, or around it.
