Why the hate?

I'm just wondering since I don't know her much. I think she's a beautiful woman that does okay acting. Not outstanding but alright.

But why do so many people dislike her? Call me lazy, I don't feel like going through each thread to find out.

reply

I don't get it either. She's the least controversial actress.

Incels, man.

reply

I don't know; it's a great mystery. She's mind-blowingly beautiful and I far prefer her to Famke Janssen as Jean Grey.

reply

Not very talented and living a life of immense privilege based predominantly on her looks.

I get the hate.

reply

So basically, jealousy.

reply

Yes, but specifically of her good looks distracting from her lack of talent.

reply

And she isn't really that beautiful anyway, looks very trashy. Looks like Boy George.

reply

LOL

reply

She is pro-lockdown and pro-mask and has a too much aggressive attitude who disagree with those political acts

reply

And that makes her a bad person. Hm. I see.

reply

Yes. Pushing people to meet your mindset because you assume to know better makes someone a bad person.

reply

Everyone has a political view/opinion. My point is that not everyone is pushing their mindset onto others.

reply

She was particularly vocal many times. I consider that pushy.

reply

"has a too much aggressive attitude who disagree with those political acts"

Are there any examples of this that you could share?

reply

I don't hate her, just think she's overrated as an actress AND I don't think she's THAT attractive.

She won hearts with role stoic role as Stansa Stark but watching her performance in every season she doesn't emote much in terms of emotional range and just acting like a teen girl with pent up angst and frustration doesn't mean you have acting range. Anya Taylor-Joy can do the same thing then flip the fucking script in a split second. Turner just sulks and cringes the whole time.

reply

This.

I wasn't (I'm not) impressed by her acting skills or her beauty.

But hate? Neah, it's mostly ... indifference ...

reply

Shit like this doesn't help her. She's predicting trauma from a pretend acting scene that happened when she was 19. If that doesn't sound incredibly snowflaky, I don't know what does.
