How does she know about agents at a young age?

In her biography, it said that she was a child when she begged her parents to get an agent. But how does she know about agents at a young age?

Are you ready or not? It's only up the street. Everybody's dancing. Everybody's on the beat.

For some of us, the industry is an obsession. I knew a ton of stuff about tv/movie production when I was a kid and I live no where near LA. I even had a subscription to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter in high school.

Think of all the kid shows and movies, like disney to the Olson twins, that feature characters that are singers or actors. They all have agents, as characters.

???? How would a kid be so into the movie industry that they would know a lot of things? Isn't that being too mature?

Not really. It's just the thing we really geek out about. Due to various factors, I didn't have a lot of friends outside of school, so I watched a lot of tv when I got home (I still did other kid things, but tv was my go to for my down time). It eventually became a hobby for me. While other kids obsessed about sports I studied film/tv to the point I can talk about it academically. I subscribed to every trade publication I could when I was younger and read them cover to cover like other kids read comic books.

Just because she was young, doesn't mean she wouldn't know about something like that. As a child, I knew a lot of things. I was hooking up TV's with cable boxes and surround sound. Even dubbing VCR, yes I said it, VCR. Joining them together so I can dub movies. Figuring out how to dub them by stuffing tissue in the hole so you can record from it. I did all that while just starting middle school. Kids are smarter than you think.

Don't get hurt kid. I'm not your daddy, I'll beat you senseless.

That was weird. When I had two the in the room, I would have them both on at the same time or use cables to have the audio of the cable on while the TV picture was a video game. I did that from ages 11-13.
