Is he the new 007?

Don't believe it. There's been no official announcement, they're not casting, even Craig has not made it official that he's not coming back yet.

The Bond series has always been subject to wild casting rumors; in the past, there's been reports that claim it was "official" that people like Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Gerard Butler, Dougray Scott, Ewan McGregor, Denzel Washington, and others had signed for the role...none of them were true. The Theo James story is just the latest. For a long time there was blather that Idris Elba was a shoo-in....now there's been claims that Tom Hiddleston has the role as well. So really, it's all just blather with no basis in fact. They're not recasting Bond at present; they'd be very open about it if they were.

Not to say it might not happen, but this story has all the hallmarks of a tabloid rumor, nothing more.

Of course it's not true. When they announce a new Bond it will be all over everywhere and trending on social media. And it won't be Theo, unfortunately.

He's actually very charismatic and comes across as older onscreen. Theo would be perfect as 007.
