Haven't seen you for a while, strntz. Not wanting to go into the shark tank?? πŸ˜‰

Honestly, no one here is going to change anyone's mind, although an occasional long range snipe can be fun. It's also tiring being called an Uncle Tom because I'm a conservative black man.

I understand that it would seem no ones mind would really be changed however, there are people out there who only lurk and maybe don't know enough about politics to want to chime in. It gives good insight for those people instead of thoughts coming from a biased news source. Not saying the posters here aren't biased too but we can get into more detail and discussion as to why we believe what we believe without an agenda that would actually make any difference (unless someone is successful to convince someone to vote for a certain person/party). I'm also a hopeless optimist and I try to explain my thoughts as best I can so that maybe some common ground could be found between myself and others who think 100% differently.

Not only for those reasons but when the lunatic left spreads lies all day, it's nice that there are just about as many on the right here now to straighten them out. πŸ˜‰

It's terrible that you are called such names and I had no idea. Color doesn't matter to me. Never has, never will. It's all about the character of each individual.

So, now that I know that you are a black man, do you mind if I ask you what your thoughts on Black Lives Matter is? I mean the organization, not the phrase. Of course I'm all for the phrase, just as I am all for All Lives Matter, the phrase. I'm strictly talking about the organization, their beliefs and what you think about what's been going on since the death of George Floyd.

reply

There are so many facets to the whole Black Lives Matter thing that it would take days to cover it all. But to say to someone that black lives matter is just as insulting as when white folks come back with "all lives matter".

Other than some inbreds, most white folks agree that black lives matter, but to say that to them is accusing them of thinking otherwise. When someone comes back with "all lives matter", it's accusing others that they think otherwise.

Those like Kaepernick that rail against police brutality and police murder would have you think that the police are driving around and summarily executing our people while coming out of bible study, or just walking with our families. George Floyd? This man was a lifetime troublemaker and home invader who once held a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach. George Floyd is not one of my people. Ever notice that the poster children of police brutality are always lifelong criminals who resist arrest or attack the police?

Why is it when a white piece of shit thug is shot by police, white people always say "good, one less piece of shit". They don't ask if the cop was white or black nor do they care. If Floyd was killed by a black cop, the story wouldn't exist.

My two sons don't fear the police because they have been taught to respect authority. If a cop says "show me your hands", you show your hands damn it. If the cop is an asshole then fight it out in court. My nephew is a police Lieutenant and says asshole cops come in all colors, but just follow orders and there's no trouble.

Now, the whole BLM thing is bullshit. This is a Marxist organization that doesn't care about us at all. The destruction of America is what BLM is about.
