...Nepotism! It's out of control in hollyweird.

About Hollywood, California, I am surprised that the city has not been re-named "Holy-Wood"!
I still remember former LAPD retired officer, Mark Fuhrman @ the persuit of criminal, O. J. Simpson & when the "threat" if the police sped up, Simpson had a pistol or revolver at his temple & he was ready to commit suicide.
I myself did not hear of when it "become law". What about "honeychild"?
PS: I posted a remark below yours about "Reverend, Jim Jones" & his cult group, "The Peoples Temple", Thursday July 10, 2014.

Why would this surprise you? It's the same in so many spheres of life and endeavor.

It's horribly unfair! The rest of us have to struggle just to by; they get everything for doing absolutely nothing! What a world!

In the case of Ms Gummer, I have absolutely no problem with it.

May you receive all that Karma has to offer.

Just because the offspring of someone famous or otherwise well-known gets work doesn't mean it is easy for them or that they were hired just for the family name. Jason Reitman for example said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he thought he could have an easy career by being the son of Ivan Reitman but he has had difficulty financing films and it took him a while to get started with "Thank You For Smoking." He gets projects greenlit but partly because of the success of "Juno" and getting critical praise for everything else. In the entertainment industry, it helps a project's publicity to have a familiar name, so it's not like the parents directly get them the work.
