I just read that Sony has decided to cut the charecter Mary Jane from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." The article also speculated that they'll probably recast the role (it was originally being played by Shailene Woodley) when the charecter is introduced in a future film.
If they do decide to recast the role, i hope they seriously consider casting this actress. She's exactly how the charecter appears in the comic books.
Bumping this topic. I had the same thought while watching the latest GoT bluray. Rose Leslie could be perfect for Mary Jane in a future Spider-Man movie, or if even the Marvel Cinematic Universe if Spider-Man comes completely into the fold.
share^ Agreed and I would like to see her as MJ even in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As much as I love both Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2 and want to see Andrew Garfield play the role I still think Rose is MJ period. I really wanted her to be in the next ASM as MJ not just because she is awesome but because she does bare a striking resemblance to Emma Stone and in the comics MJ looks alot like Gwen Stacy, also it would be funny having two Brits play the main roles in a Spider man movie.
