Her acting in Gotham

I've noticed most people's opinions are that she can't act at all, I think she's decent, plays crazy very well, I just don't believe her as a lesbian, it feels so forced and cringy, it's one of the poorer stories told on Gotham.

I'm with you. I love Erin Richards as Barbara Kean. I'm not a psychologist, but in my far less than humble opinion when she's in character she gives me the creeps and I love it. She's spooky as hell when she smiles as she runs Barbara's lines. If that's not psychotic, I don't know what is. She's supposed to be dark and between the facial expressions & the lines somebody clearly gave her a lesson in microexpressions, or she was born for this role, because she's wickedly nuts. I mean Gone. Deceit, manipulative, flirtatious, the essence of pure vixen evil. What in the hell are most people looking at?

Well before she became crazy Babs she was probably one of the best actors on the show for the first season, every moment she was on screen there was conviction in her face albeit the lack of writing to her character. This woman is among the small handful of actors on the show that make it worth watching.

Gotham is one of the best TV remake of DC comics, among all WB & CW works of the kind, in my opinion. It's probably because of the absence of Harley Quinn in this show, making Barbara's going-bad one of the most dramatic and astonishing piece of plot. I think Erin has perfectly picked & depicted the change, the breakdown & the madness. I guess there must be some more people who would wonder: now, how is this going to end? How come the Batgirl Barbara Gordon, whose name will be honored by the mother, if the mother is so infamous at all...?
