What a great Irene Adler

It's hard to have a better casting for a very infamous Sherlock Holmes character. I had no idea that they were even gonna try to tackle such a difficult and complex relations as Adler and Holmes and they pulled it off in one episode. I guess having cinema length helps.

Dammit those bastards at the BBC seem to just make our American network TV look like complete crap. We haven't had a good network television show since "the West Wing" and i would put that show up against anything on BBC especially in the first 3 seasons and the finial one

oh and AMC and HBO can compete

I'd let her spank me ;-)

I guess I am one who wished that the character was written closer to canon. To each his own.

It's a modern reboot of a century old work... It had to be updated (for god sacks Holmes spends most of his time texting on a CRLLPHONE) and I believe they did a good job keeping in line with some of the more overt alder/sherlock themes and plot points with a modern twist.

Speaking of cellphones, that's where I'm typing this from so I'm sorry for any misspellings or mistyping

they actually kind of did a terrible job keeping in line with canon because in 'a scandal in bohemia' she bests holmes and he gains utmost respect for her- they reduced her to a sex object who was smart, but not AS smart, as holmes, whose womanly wiles got in the way of her brilliance. total bummer. i'd love to see lara pulver play a well-written irene adler because she was breathtaking.
