What's this guy's problem?

Why is he going after Dave Chappelle?

reply

Look at the picture ;)

reply

lol

reply

I don't know, but he just turned me gay just by looking at his photo. He's dreamy, sighhhhhh....

reply

She’s not a guy. She clearly looks like a woman to me.

reply

"Clearly" lmfao

reply

I know she not a guy. I'm just messing with her because I hate her attitude.

reply

me too.
i haven't watched her netflix thing. can't imagine i ever will.

but every clip, every quote i've seen from this jerk has been dour and miserable and angry and bitter.

seems like there's an audience for people who wallow in their anger.

i think it's weird that people who have the best lives anyone anywhere has ever had spend so much time wailing at the futility of life.

it's a funny old world.

reply

That's hilarious, your humour is amazing.

reply

Never heard of him.

reply

Why would she be going after Dave Chappelle? He's black and comes from a comfortable upper-middle class background. Hannah Gadsby only hates working class white guys who remind her of the guys who supposedly raped her. Oh, she also hates Picasso, Woody Allen, and Harvey Weinstein.

reply

What is your problem? Why are you going after Hannah? Dave Chappelle shot right back and seems to be defending himself quite well.

She also isn't trans, and identifies as a woman who is not gender normal. You aren't a jerk, please don't act like one. You can disagree with her stance, that's fine, but seriously, posts like this are really part of the problem actual trans people face.

reply

I was surprised by the OP too. He’s not usually such an asshole.

reply

I can't stand her "I'm right and you're wrong" approach. She thinks because she's a lesbian that she's allowed to speak on behalf of trans people.

reply

She'd make an onion cry!

reply

FAIR ENOUGH...YOU STILL FUCKED UP WITH THIS POST.

reply

No, she did that to herself. Dave Chappelle is getting accused of being a misogynist because he defended himself by saying she wasn't funny, but somehow she isn't being called racist for attacking him.

reply

She's not being called a racist because she never had a go at his race . . .

reply

Chappelle is being called a misogynist but never had a go at her gender.

reply

uuuh he HAS had a go at women, I don't like her, I think she hates men but Chappelle regularly has a go at females.

reply

My problem is that she keeps putting her nose in other people's affairs. When this whole Chappelle thing happened, I thought to myself "watch Hannah Gadsby say something now." She also dragged some else into the situation who didn't want to be dragged into it.

I'm not staying she's trans. I'm just saying she looks like a dude. I know she isn't trans because she bring up her being a lesbian in every standup special she does.

reply

I have no issues with you disagreeing with what she has said. I have an issue with you referring to her as a "guy" and then using he pronouns. Her whole issue with Chapelle has to do with trans rights and Chapelle referring to himself as a TERF, so to then go and purposefully misgender the person who has brought up the issue with Chapelle is only inciting hatred.

Bring up your points, you might bring people around to them. I'm not even saying that I think you are wrong with her speaking on behalf of trans people. Your comments though, read as very anti trans, anti LGBTQ+, dismissive to someone's looks, and just very assholey. I don't think you are an asshole. I like you very much (as one can not actually knowing someone other than what they post.) I just think that you could have said what you wanted to say about her without calling her a he.

reply

Get over it. Good grief!

reply

GET OVER WHAT?...CALMLY EXPLAINING HER OPINION IN A WELL WORDED RESPONSE?

reply

I have an issue with you referring to her as a "guy" and then using he pronouns.

OMG! Mur-DUR!! I'm SOOOOOOO offfennnnnded!!!

reply

I'm not offended. I have an issue with it because the OP is generally a pretty nice person who doesn't stoop to insults and can usually have a rational conversation.

What I can't get over, and hope I never get over, is people who disrespect everyone who disagrees with them. It's one thing to have a different opinion and to voice that opinion. Mocking and insulting is just contributing to the rapid decline of our society. I may not be able to do a damn thing about it, but I'm trying my hardest not to contribute to it.

reply

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. 😉

reply

Perhaps. But I'd rather be in hell because I had treated others with respect, than be in hell because I was an asshole to everyone.

reply

THAT'S TRUE...DAMN...WE SHOULD ALL ACT LIKE HEATHENISTIC DEVILS THEN.

reply

Don't you, already? 😘

reply

NO...I JUST TALK LIKE ONE.

reply

My comments aren't anti-trans because I'm aware that she is not transgender. Yes I'm making fun of her physical appearance, but this girl spends most of her standup trashing men and straight people, so I don't think it's that bad to criticize her physical appearance. She didn't ask to look like that the same way men didn't ask to be men and straight people didnt ask to be straight.

reply

But you’re clearly coming to the defence of Chapelle who spends an equal amount of time trashing “alphabet people” (as he calls them) so it’s curious why one would anger you so much and the other gets a free pass from you.

I happen to like them both, so I have no skin in their argument, but it seems some people are only in favour of free speech and artistic expression when it comes from an agenda they agree with.

reply

I'm actually not a fan of free speech because I don't think it's accurate. I can't just say "I think (enter demographic) should die. It's an opinion, but it would be a stupid one. And it could incite violence.

But going back to Chappelle, all he said was that men can't be women. How is that controversial? Transgenders say that I'm male because of a "social construct", and somehow that's not considered controversial. Then you have people who say they feel that they are both male and female. But what about hermaphrodites? How is it not controversial to claim that you feel that you are both genders when there are people who actually were born as both genders?

reply

I’m not interested in his opinion of trans people (or, with all due respect, yours either), enough has been said about that already on this forum and my opinion on the matter is of no interest to others either.

That said, you know as well as I do that Dave has landed himself in hot water with the LGBT community numerous times in the past, not just because of his trans jokes. Personally I think he’s funny and don’t take comedians seriously on such matters, but to suggest this is all over his trans attacks is insincere and seems like more of a platform for you to broadcast your own prejudices or opinions on trans people. Fair enough, I’m not here to fight you about it.

This is the person who stated the walkout:

I don't think they're in the position to call out what Chappelle said as being offensive.

reply

I LOVE YOU...YOUR POSTS GAVE ME A HALF CHUB.

reply

🍆

reply

🍆😮🍆

reply

I respectfully disagree. I honestly do get where you are coming from, and maybe it's because in my work I work with a lot of vulnerable youth who don't fit into the mold, that my hackles do get raised a bit more, but I think it's a cheap shot. Especially because of reasons why both she and Chapelle are in the news right now.

Like I've said, I like you, and I'm not angry or offended, and my opinion of you hasn't changed, I still disagree with your choice of words here.

reply

I definitely gave her a cheap shot. But I would feel bad if it was for someone who didn't deserve it.

reply

Nuh hole on uh secon! If a man decides to say he's a woman and likes women, he'd be a lesbian... unless he doesn't follow his own proclamation that he's a woman. I can't imagine he'd divert from his "chosen gender"...

reply

Nothing makes sense anymore. I've see people claim they're non-binary lesbians. How can they say they have no gender while claiming they're a woman who likes women?

reply

That's what happens when people try to make sense of nonsense.

reply

i just cant keep up with her victimhood and whining

reply

Why do ppl insist on bumping the worst pages to Trending?

reply

You did it too though.

reply

Nah, I bumped it right after someone else did. It was already first entry on trending. Same here too. Otherwise, wouldn't bother.

reply

To annoy people who think the word "people" is too exhausting to type out.

reply

I know she looks like a 12 year old boy but don't let the style fool you she's actually a woman.

reply

Woke comedy isn’t funny that’s why.

reply

How true

reply

I'm told that expectating comedy to at least try and be funny is due to a false and patriarchal definition of comedy that has been used to marginalize voiced like hers. SOmething like that. I'm not sure what that means, but I think I still prefer comedy that is funny.

reply

Then just accept men are better at something than you and laugh at what they have to say. Appreciate the contribution they make to this world.
