Is she American?

I've seen her in two TV films and she was an American in both. I know she's done small stage roles in the UK. Any ideas on where she's from?

She's British

Oh so she's European...hmm

A stolen kiss is better than a legal one.

I had to look this up too, because she had difficulty pulling off an American accent. Her exaggerated drawl indicates just how shrill we must sound to the British ear. I hope they don't think that is what we sound like.

the american accent can be quite harsh and irritating. but then so can some british accents. not that any american I've ever met has been able to tell the difference.

I loved it in Frazier whenever Daphne's family came on - she played the role with a Mancunian accent (not her own accent) but Anthony LaPaglia, playing her brother, attempted a London accent. I doubt very much that the two characters were meant to have grown up nearly 200 miles apart!

what films was she in?

It always seems that when europeans try to pull off the american accent, they make it too deep, rough, and scratchy like Dr. House and even Jax in Sons of Anarchy.

Which one?

I could care less, but I don’t care enough to bother.

I agree. I'm English but been married to an American for 11 years and I live in the USA. I can't do his accent and he can't do mine lol. I thought House sounded AWFUL! Maybe it's because I grew up hearing his English accent my whole life? Because most people go on about how great his American accent is?
But like the UK, the US has a mix of various accents depending on where you are, same as Ireland and Scotland.
I think Charlie Hunum or whatever he's called does a brilliant accent in SOA. There's the odd occasion where you can hear the English accent slip through on a word but overal I think he has it down brilliantly.
It's easier for Brits to adapt to the American accent than it is for Americans to adapt to our accent, in my opinion, because American TV is all over the place in the UK, whereas here there's not so much of it on TV out here (however there's more now than there used to be). So in a sense we grew up with the American accent around us regularly from a young age, Americans didn't really have that with the English accent. That's just my opinion on it.
Anyway back to this girl. I know nothing about her, I'm just watching season 3 of SOA and clicked on her in the cast list lol
