ABOUT THE SURNAME 'PINTO'


Does she have any direct portuguese heritage? I read in wikipedia that her parents converted to catholicism and changed the surname, and while she was born in Mumbai, (Old) Goa was a former portuguese colony ( my father himself was born there, altough of white/portuguese ethnicity ), I wonder if that played something in that surname.
By the way, Pinto is a common name in Portugal but with a double meaning in the portuguese language. While in portuguese from Portugal means little chicken/ chick ( and that would suit her ), in portuguese from Brazil means cock...not the bird, but dick, penis...
