what exactly did he do for the first film?

He helped finanace the original, and partially owns the dramatic property. He made a lot of money off the first film, and she doesn't want to fund a predator, or give one more power in Hollywood.

reply

Really! Tell me more!

But yeah, she's going to win this round, Warners' will move heaven and Earth to get WW2 out ASAP. I just wonder if he's going to be in any position to get revenge, after the dust settles.

They can still do it, just would be extremely risky to do so without her, of course removing one of the money people from the project also enhances risk. She has an advantage here with this project, yet she isn't irreplaceable. I expect WB to make it work, but I am curious how they do so.

reply

Not really, she's not that popular. It only seems that way because the the other DC movies were flops. It's an empty gesture on her part.

reply

looks like Ratner is gone, now way the cancel ww2 after the success of the first one.

reply

If they didn't contractually secure her participation in potential sequels before signing her up for the first one, shame on them. That's like rule 1 for franchise films.

reply

Even if they did, they'd never be able to force her to make it. Not now. They would look like total @ssholes if they challenged her legally.
