Hailee Steinfeld had a great start to her career receiving an Oscar nom for True Grit in 2010, before anyone even heard of Chloe Moretz. But since then Chloe Moretz has taking roles that Hailee would be in line for, along with other young actresses around her age. Is it safe to say Chloe Moretz stole her career?
shareWell, Chloe gained her biggest fame in that same year (2010) from the movie Kick-Ass a movie more popular with a younger hipper crowd than uppity Cohen brothers' True Grit, but you may be right about roles after that. In the U.S. anyways, Chloe had many more things going for her as a young actress: blonde, more personable, cooler last name, etc.

shareI agree, Hailee was incredible in that role in True Grit and should have won the Academy Award for that, that movie came out a year after Kick Ass, i do find Hailee more interesting than chloe. Someday in the future i hope Hailee stars in another big hit movie a superhero movie, and hey did i forget to mentioned that Katniss role was meant for Hailee because the book kind of matches her description
shareThe 3 year gap she took between True Grit and her next movie made the industry forget about her a little, the fact that her comeback film wasn't well received didn't help at all, but she is hanging in there with her musical career.
Chloe in contrast have had at least 2 or 3 movies per year, not all of them are critical or financial successes but at least keep her fresh in the people's mind.
Chloe didn't stole it from her, Hailee just didn't took good care of it.

I'm way more team Chloe but just now am starting to be conflicted after becoming a fan of Hailee's new album Haiz. They have seperate careers. I also think they're friends.
