Why did she leave Spartacus?

Just wondering if anyone knew her reasoning for leaving Sparatacus? She was 100x better than the new girl. It's not the same without her.

Scheduling conflicts with a movie she was filming

Andy's passing was bad enough, but this new actress is nothing more than a "Fake Naevia" to me, & so annoying.

I agree. I didn't realize right off the bat that Naevia had been recast, as there was quite some time that passed between my watching the first season and prequel season and then finally seeing S2(or S3, whatever). I thought she looked different, but I figured it was just different hair or something and the passing of a few years. I really started disliking the character though (during the "Vengeance" season) and so looked it up and found out it was a different actress. That may explain it, or it may be the writing. Whatever the case, I didn't find her sympathetic or endearing at all. I found her wanna be tough girl expressions overdone and annoying and wished for her death every episode.

Her killing Asher was total BS! I hope she meets the pointy end of a Roman spear very soon.

The Naevia role was pretty meaty in the last season, so its too bad Lesley didn't stick around to finish the series.

Yeah, it wasn't worth dumping this great role for Drift with Sam Worthington (if that was the movie). Doubt she'll get anything as good as Spartacus later on.

reply

Oh get real, she was only a bit part in Spartacus. She now has a chance to be a Star! Try doing some thinking folks!

You need to realize that this is a career first, then it's an art form. Premium channels do not pay their actors a lot of money, while movies do. It really is as simple as this. If you still cant grasp this concept, well then just go on living your ignorant little life.

reply

It was a bad decision anyway. Spartacus is the best thing she has been in and she left that for something nobody gives a * about. Money is not career.

reply

She wanted more money to stay on Spartacus, or else she was going to leave. Starz didn't come to an agreement, so she left.
