I really do. I think he's got what it takes. And I think the fact that he's not a raging diva and just a good-looking, all-American, complacent gay guy will make him probably be the first Hollywood actor in history to be able to have an extremely successful acting career without his sexual preference overriding any chance he's got at making it. I know it's an animation, but Frozen is a good example. He can play straight without it being any sort of issue. And I think the movie COG was interesting because for the most part it wasn't about his sexual preference, it was just about who he was as a person.
I think he's gonna blow up in the next few years. Or at least I'd like to see that.

I don't think he's the only gay actor ever to be able to "make it". Sir Ian McKellen certainly is doing fine for himself, ditto Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Neil Patrick Harris etc... But I agree that I certainly think Groff has what it takes. He's genuinely adorable and talented both in acting and singing. He has the cutest smile, too. I hope he makes it big.

I just finished 'Looking' and Jonathan makes that show. He's so great, he acts earnest very well.
