Closer to 5'11-6'0, 6'2 he is not! Picture included!

I've been on both the Arrow and Flash set. Stephen is definitely a legit 6'1 person. He's one of those people who can claim 6'2 if he wanted to. Brandon I only briefly worked with him once, and was disappointed he wasn't on Legends when I was there. Anyways although I didn't get to be close to him that much, he does look around the 6'3 he's listed as when I was close to him. I haven't been on Flash as much, but I've stood next to Grant enough times and I doubt the guy's 6 foot let alone 6'2. I would place him around the 5'10-5'11 range. BTW the new guy playing Earth 2 Flash Jay Garrick is huge. He's like 6'4. Tom Cavanagh was around the guy's eye level.

I'll also add the CW despite some people like Grant, a lot of the actors in CW are legitimately tall and are as tall as they're listed as. While shows like Dawson's Creek the actors are definitely overrated in their heights. I've been on Fringe with Joshua Jackson and I would peg that guy as 6'1. There's no way Kerr Smith is the 6 ft-6'1 he's listed as seeing how he was like 2 inches shorter than legit 6 footer Jensen Ackles (I've been on Supernatural to verify this) in My Bloody Valentine. Van Der Beek also isn't the 6 ft-6'1 he's listed as going off the actor's he's costarred with and that he's closer to Kerr's height than Joshua's. I think Kerr is about 5'10 and James probably like 5'10-5'11.

I'm mostly on sets as an extra although I can get on a set as a crew once and a while, but it's a lot harder to get paid work as a crew though unless you know someone who does the hiring. That's how many of the production assistants seem to get their jobs when I ask them about it.

Oh you auditioned for Zod on the new CBS Supergirl show? That's cool. I've been on Smallville before, and know people who had roles on that show. Heard some interesting stories. One person was James Marsters stand in or double (forget which one), and he was telling me it was good until James got so drunk, they decided to kill off his character despite James insisting he can make the scene work while drunk. Needless to say the person lost the double work after that. He didn't watch Smallville, so it was amusing when I told him on the show Chloe became the new Brainiac.

My favourite CW show to be on was Emily Owens, although it sucked it only lasted 1 season. Legends of Tomorrow was pretty fun, but I've only worked there once, so I won't say anything prematurely.

BTW you know those posters of Stephen Amell shirtless and him looking in the mirror back in season 1? Guess what? Both him and Grant aren't as fit as the show wants you to believe (or at least Stephen back in season 1). I've met the guy who played Stephen's abs and he told me his friend played Stephen's arms. Yeah they just CGI other people's body parts onto the actors. That's why they don't show off certain actor's muscles as much despite they're totally being marketed as eye candy.

Strange that when my wife & myself met Stephen Amell & David Ramsey, that Stephen's arms are much bigger than David Ramsey's in real life (they make Diggle cross his arms to make his 'guns' look bigger. He was also very ripped even though it was during the 'off season'. I don't know your 'friend' that claims to be Stephen's 'abs' or his friend that claims to be his 'arms' but they are pulling your leg! You can see exactly how athletic & built Stephen is in his Facebook videos! I don't think he would go to the extremes of using CGI in his Facebook videos!

As for height, Amell is 100% 6'1" (I am exactly 6' & was almost same height as him). David Ramsey is taller by an inch or so than Amell.

I did specifically said it was season 1. Not sure what season these facebook videos are from, but I'm pretty certain the scene in question with the two people claiming to be Stephen's arms and abs was for that mirror shot in the first episode.

Pretty certain Stephen did got more buff in real life as the show went on because another extra I know told me a funny story of walking down Stanley Park, then seeing someone who looked like Stephen running along the walkway, and constantly stopping once and a while to do pushups. Then she looked up Stephen's twitter and realized it was him. Plus the abs guy did specifically said he wasn't sure about Stephen's physique in the later seasons, so obviously he wasn't called back to be Stephen's abs again.

Though I'm pretty confident in saying Grant's 6 pack in the first episode of Flash isn't his.

Found my way back here, and since this thread is about an actor whose height is off from what he's been billed here and other places online, I feel like listing other actors who's heights are off from what they're being billed.

Stephen's cousin Robbie is funny because I remember he was originally listed as 6'2, then changed to 5'11 and is now 6 foot. They should've kept him at 5'11.
For people who's seen Falling Skies, Moonblood Good is shorter than the 5'10 she listed and is more 5'8 while her costar Sarah Carter is actually taller than the 5'4 here and is more 5'6. Star Noah Wyle is roughly the same but more like 6 foot.
Jaime King after I came off the set of White Chicks was shocked she's listed at 5'9 when I thought she was 5'6. Though after thinking about it, she might've been 5'7. It's harder to judge women if they're only in heels. See the two Wayan brother stars got downgraded from their heights back then which had them nearly as tall as their brother Keenan Ivory. It's more proper now since Keenan was easily taller than both of them.
Sam Niell is shorter than the 6 foot he's listed as and is more 5'10. Luke Macfarlane was funny because when I first searched him up, he was 5'10 and I was thinking he and Sam should switch height listings, that would be more accurate. Now Luke is 6'2? Their costar Charlotte Sullivan is also funny because she was first listed as 5'8 and now half an inch taller? Where is IMDB getting their numbers from? The only place I saw Charloette with a listed height from an actual reliable source was the show Rookie Blue and they had her listed as 5'7 which looks accurate when I saw her. At least their costar Kenneth Mitchel's listing is proper.
Billy Campbell is listed as 6'4 while he first look only about 6'2 when I first saw him, but he did appear a little taller at closer to 6'3 by the time I saw him the 3rd time.
Keri Russell is a taller than the 5'4 she's listed as and more 5'5-5'6. While Julia Roberts is kind of the other direction. She's listed as 5'9, but seem 5'8/5'7 when I saw her. If I had to judge, I think Helen Hunt might be the tad bit taller between the two.
As a Higher Ground fan I have to bring up how AJ Cook got to be at least 5'7 as oppose to the 5'5 she's currently listed as. While I never seen her in person, I've met at least five of her costars, so it's pretty easy to base her height of their's as well as other actors. Such as how she's slightly taller than Heroes Ali Larter in Final Destination yet this site has Ali listed as almost 3 inches taller than AJ!
Speaking of Heroes, pretty certain Heroes Jessalyn Gilsig and her Glee costar Jayma Mays are both at least 5'5 rather than the 5'3/5'4 this site has them as. Jessalyn costarred with an actor I know who's 5'4 and Jessalyn was taller. Both are around Diana Agron's height from Glee, and there's no way Jayma's husband Adam Campbell is the near 5'8 he's listed as. I doubt Adam is anything outside the 5'5 range.
Also anyone with a pair of eyes can tell Tilda Swinton is not 5'11 or anywhere close to it. The girl on the right is Kelli Garner who's listed as 5'6 here and 5'5 on other sites and she's just a little shorter than Swinton, and that's assuming their footwear is even level which I doubt. Then there's this one with Keanu Reeves where you can see they do have even level footwear and it's even more blatant about Tilda Swinton's real height.

Tilda is more like 5'7, 5'8 tops. She easily has one of the most ridiculous height exaggerations out there.

Now I feel like trying to making some changes to the actor's bio, though how do we get it printed? I remember trying to make some changes in the past to some actors bios and nothing was changed.

Something funny I just realized. Among 3 pairings mentioned here, there's a case of the wrongfully distributed 4 inches among them.

First pairing is Stephen Amell and our boy Grant here. Anyone who's seen the crossover episodes easily knows Stpehen is the taller of the two. However Grant gets a boost of close to 4 inches here and Stephen might be getting like half and inch or so taken off of him. Roughly 4 inches manipulated to give Grant a taller listing.

Second pairing is AJ Cook and Ali Larter where anyone who's seen FD2 knows AJ is the taller of the two. Yet Ali seems to be getting 2 inches (pretty certain she's around 5'6) while AJ is losing 2 inches where we get the ridiculous listing of Ali being nearly 3 inches taller than AJ and in total it's again about 4 inches manipulated.

Final one is Jayma Mays and her husband Adam Campbell and that video or any video of them outside Epic Movie (Adam wores lifts for the film) has both around the same height. Here Jayma loses at least a inch and Adam gains nearly 3 inches where again it total 4 inches manipulated. Weird.
