Is there a reason why he wasn't offered the role? Both the series and the film are made by Warner, I thought he would be in the film. It's rumored it'll be Ezra Miller who I think is wrong for the part.

It's not the "same" character. Think of it as the TV shows being Earth 1, and the current movie series being Earth-3.

I disagree that The TVs Flash couldn't be the Flash in the movies though, he's actually a pretty dang good actor. I don't always agree with him and I'm sure not everyone does, but it is what it is...

The TV-Flash can't be in the movie, because it would create shedule issues, plotholes (like in Man of steel it ends up with Clark and the kryptonians being the first known with powers, and in Flash its Flash and the metahumans)
Its the smarter thing not to connect, just for the fact alone that connection would tie scriptwritters for the shows and movies. Especially the former
