Hey does anyone know Aidan ethnicty?

I know he's Irish but I was wonder if he had anything else in him. Has anyone heard of Black Irish? They always called my grandma that. When I found out he was Irish it came to mind of them always saying that about my grandma. I wonder if he has Spanish or Italian in him.

Black Irish is an ambiguous term sometimes used (mainly outside Ireland) as a reference to a dark-haired phenotype appearing in people of Irish origin.[31] However, dark hair in people of Irish descent is common, although darker skin complexions appear less frequently.[32] One popular speculation suggests the Black Irish are descendents of survivors of the Spanish Armada, despite research discrediting such claims.

I dunno. I'm just happy he's human. 😂

Whatever you call his genetic heritage, it certainly came together to make one gorgeous hunk of a man. LOL There are few in this world who give me as much pleasure to look at as he does. He's just fascinating to me and not because he's perfect. In fact, I don't think he'd be as interesting looking if he were. I still can't get over the fact that I only discovered him about six months ago! What??

My grandma Was born in 1898. My grandfather was born in 1895. He had red hair and she had jet back. I always remember people saying she was back Irish.....where that term came from I had no idea until I looked it up. I remember a history teacher saying it was a term used for Irish with Spanish decent. The teacher was Spanish himself so I don't know. He talked about the whole Spanish Armada theory. I have no idea if it's a description that my grandparent brought with them or something that was made up in the ethnic neighborhood of Chicago or if it a generational thing. I mean we are talking about people who were born over a 100 years ago......I wish I knew more. My brother is take a DNA heritage test which I can't wait to see. But I wonder if Aidan has Spanish in him. I guess I wonder cause where I live there is many Mexican Americans. Well for that matter Mexican.

I find it fascinating where people come from.

Even if he does have Spanish ancestry, it wouldn't necessarily mean that was the cause of his dark hair and eyes. You'd be amazed at how many blond blue-eyed Spaniards there are. Just watch Grand Hotel on Netflix if you want to have your eyes opened. We think of "hispanics" as being dark, but that's not always the case. Those with American indigenous ancestry may be dark, but those with Spanish ancestry may not be.

Anthony Andreotti....He was a crush in High School. He was Italian. Golden hair and grey eye. Sooo true. I was just curious. Wonder if he had Greek , Italian or maybe Spanish. We all have ancestry that migrated from some where. I was just wondering if anyone knew. I wouldn't say Aidan is very dark....he's got the complexion of my husband. Who is Native American and Polish. AND that's not even that far down his family tree. His dad was full Polish and his mother full Native American. Mind you his reservation is on both sides of the boarder. I love to do his ancestry DNA. I wanted to do mine but since my brother is doing his....LOL I'll just wait for his to come back.

Everyone on the Scottish side of my immediate family, including me, had the same coloring, too. Dark hair, dark eyes, heavy eyebrows, and light skin. Wherever it came from, it's not an unusual trait of Anglos.

Anglo Saxons or Celts?

Dark hair and eyes is also a common trait among the Welsh (Celts) like Ioan Gruffudd.
