Most Ideal 007 Contender

Idris Elba - the first dark-skinned Bond, pretty cool right?

Tom Hardy - once declared as one of the best-dressed brit actors, Bond indicator right?

Aidan Turner - young but owns the "it factor", could be the younger 007 that people are dying to see, right?

or it could be these hunky guys here - http://www.spectalist.com/most-ideal-james-bond-contender/
Even in the face of Armageddon, I will not compromise in this

Well, I have to say, just looking at those photographs, Aidan Turner still jumps out at me with those fantastic eyes! And having seen him in And Then There Were None, he looks fabulous in a tuxedo.

It would be interesting to have Idris Elba, too, but I'm much more of a fan of Aidan's so I'm really hoping he gets it. They sure have been stringing us along long enough, haven't they?

Idris would have been cool, but he's too old now, he'd make only one film. I think Samuel Anderson from Doctor Who would be a great Bond if they decided to give a black actor a shot.

Aidan though still hits all the marks although James Norton seems to have surpassed him in the wagwring.

Really? I've been watching War & Peace, and I never thought of James Norton as the James Bond type. How odd. Of course, I never saw Daniel Craig as him either. I guess there's no accounting for taste. But having seen the original James Bond films when I was young with Sean Connery, I have come by my taste in dark James Bonds quite naturally, I think. 😉

I just found this although there's not much new. For some reason, Natasha Richardson thought playing James Bond would ruin Liam Neeson's career, which I found interesting. http://www.torontosun.com/2017/01/03/liam-neeson-could-have-been-james-bond

If you Google "odds on next James Bond" , you'll see Norton is slightly ahead of Aidan in the betting.

I like Norton as well but not sure if he's a fit for Bond , although as Craig has proved a good actor can make all the difference.

You never know, the story is Clive Owen had a lock on the part until it fell through due to money demands so they went with Craig.

I honestly thought that Aidan had the part and they were just waiting to see if Craig will commit or not.

Well, I just wish the PTB would make up their minds! Sheesh. That would get Aidan a whole lot of good publicity and might even improve the ratings for Poldark.

Exactly....it's been dragging on too long and it's unfair to all the potential candidates for the part

Well, here's yet another article speculating that Aidan could be the next Bond, but it doesn't say much about him in it. He won't talk about it when he's asked, and this article gives a hint about why that might be, so I found it interesting in that respect. http://www.msn.com/en-sg/entertainment/story/tom-hardy-and-aidan-turner-lead-latest-odds-for-next-james-bond/ar-AAlXWt3

And for what it's worth, it might be good to vote for Aidan in the IMDb poll for Who should be the next 007. He's nowhere near some others.
