to the fans of my precious son, Atticus. It has been rare for me to write, but I am asking a request to all of you, at this time, as I have been witness to Atticus' unceasing care, love and prayers to many, many of your names. I am asking for your prayers right now, or good thoughts, for my precious boy. Two days ago, he had an in home accident and sustained two fractures to his legs. He is having surgery right now, on one leg. Living with OI is a lifelong challenge, but Atticus always lives with an unbreakable spirit. He lifts the hearts of all who he meets, and even now, as he is wheeled into surgery, he brings love, laughter and a sense of optimism with the doctors and nurses. I still want to grow up to be like him. So, please....may I ask...to join me now with prayer, with kind hearts, and with good thoughts that his surgeon, and those who surround him, are successful with helping Atticus, and for him to recover to full capacity again. Minutes ago, Atticus kissed me and told me "It only makes me stronger and more understanding." May we all hold onto those words in times of our own challenges and in our world today.
