Maybe he was named after Atticus Finch from " To kill a mockingbird" ?

I assumed that's where it's from as well, though I don't know about the name origin other than TKAM and can't be bothered to look it up.

I think it's a really cool name though, not just because of the TKAM reference but also because now I think about it, it just sounds really cool!

I looked "Atticus" up on a naming website. It says that it is Roman for "from Attica". Attica is a place in Greece.
