Why do people hate this guy?

He gets TONS of hate everytime he's cast in a role, and given the large amount of lead roles he has on the horizon the vitriol towards him is piling up. I really don't understand it, I haven't seen Die Hard 5 or Divergent but from what I hear they weren't very good movies anyway, so his performance in those is a bit more forgiveable. But have any of you seen Jack Reacher? I think he did a great job in that. Hell, I would even say he stole every scene that he was in, even while sharing the scene with Tom Cruise. His character in that film was definitely just written to be a cardboard cut out scary henchman and he gave off a truly chlling vibe that elevated his character past his conventional roots and made the most of his small screentime.

I'm excited to see him in so many upcoming roles that seem like they will fit him perfectly; why so much hate?
