think that because she is a model and has model/striking/exotic features. If it had been a girl next door type actress chosen to replace Fox (Ellen Page, Emma Stone, etc..) people would have been praising her like no other. But a model irks people because they deem it unrealistic that a guy like Shia can hook up with a supermodel. Also, people generally find girl next door girls more approachable/likable.

shareTHANK you. Yes, Rosie is exotic looking and people tend to hate exotic women's looks (see Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Carpenter, Vanessa Ferlito, the really skinny girl from Spider-Man, etc). She's definitely unapproachable looking, sort of Grace Kellyish, although I think Megan does too bit she has a classic girl next door look herself that makes people want to approach her anyway, however Rosie is so unique looking and modelesque as you said she's just too scary.
And you're right about the guys like Shia thing... it's also probably a good heaping of jealousy, as much as I hate how commonly and incorrectly that word is tossed around on the internet. Guys dislike that Shia got to kiss her and are mad that Rosie would probably never give their insecure selves a date, and girls might be too because she looks so good.

I think what people mean by "ugly" is that having an upper and lower lip the same size makes her look weird, with a permanent duck lip thing going on.
If there is ever a live-action version of Disney's Duck Toons, they should cast her in it, because it will take the makeup effects people less time to prep her than anyone.
