She prays to Satan
How else do you think she became so popular despite middling talent as a singer and songwriter?

shareShe’s not amazingly talented or anything but she’s more talented than most other female pop stars.

I said that years ago.
In the old days, when a person sold their soul to Satan, he (she?) went through extraordinary effort to make the person so talented that they would have to become a star. The star would have to be convincing to talent experts.
Satan revised the plan and instead of making the person talented, he simply used his (her?) power to convince the tone deaf audience that the "star" has talent. Satan figured there's enough people in the world with no musical taste that fooling enough people to spend money on the talentless would be far easier than actually creating a talented performer, plus these same talentless people who don't know talent when they see hear it are already primed to fall for any other person that sells their soul to the devil.
So sayeth strntz.
That would explain a lot!
Seriously, though, the modern music industry seems more like a Hell's Field Office than anything else. Talent is a handicap now, what they want to promote are people wio will grab the public's attention for a little while and then vanish, not actual musicians.
All the higher level famous people do that, it's how they stay in power so long. What makes this bimbo so special?

I honestly think it's the media and exposure. Back in the old days before the internet, performers were heard more than they were seen. A mediocre performer would never get radio play (that was the big medium). Today, they're video "stars".
Swift can't sing a lick, but she's very pretty. That's enough today.
You can go to any high school in the world today and find at least one girl who can sing much better than Swift. It's timing, it's exposure, it's some intangibles that we don't want to talk about either..
