2019 was the year that started it with Ariana completely dominating specially when it comes to streaming which is the future of the industry. Taylor has been declining since reputation while Ariana has taken over pop.

shareShe has a better voice for sure but I can't understand a word Grande sings and because of that every single song she sings sounds alike. She has no originality at all. It's like trying to understand Italian opera. Given the choice, I would listen to Taylor Swift.
I think Swift is much better looking and it isn't even close, Grande seems to be stuck looking around age 16, she doesn't appeal to me at all. Swift has only gotten better looking.
Popularity? I hear much more about Swift than any other artist. I am not a fan, I have never bought her music but there is no denying her popularity. Grande is very popular, too, but I'd give the edge in that to Swift, too.
