Taylor 50 Shades Song Video

The 50 shades phenomenon and its luring of popular singers to bring
film soundtracks to their show has developed many conversations
about patriarchy, sex roles, real abuse v bdsm and lies about feminism by actresses
and directors involved in the film.
In this video, the male singer is the one who is generally honored, instead
of Taylor. He is photographed as he goes into a hotel room. Then he
decides to smash glasses on a table for no apparent reason other than I
guess to seem like a thug. Taylor is on the bed in lingerie seeming
to be a slavegirl in waiting for him.
The song had no real instrumentation but their singing was good
overall.
Taylor has never convinced me as the feminist she claims to be. She appeared
to be recent friends with Rhianna, the domestic violence victim into bdsm who
later returned to her abuser Chris Brown as a friend or more.
It is her decision if she wants to be a bdsm slavegirl in bed to men or maybe even elsewhere.
I just wouldn't call it a feminist act.
