I agree this is a shame. I have enjoyed that IMDb boards have been more open to free speech
overall than most boards across the internet so this is especially surprising.
Artists and public people should always encourage open discussion. Unfortunately
many public figures ironically have something to hide about their personalities that goes beyond
a standard expectation of privacy. This is definitely a place
I would expect open discussion to be celebrated no matter how controversial some opinions are.
I have outed many people with profiles on IMDb for misconduct and sometimes just
for remarks they made publicly I didn't agree with. Occasionally I have been complimentary
as well. I have done this in the hope to develop conversations into a mature and thoughtful direction
not out of spite in any way.
