Joy: a movie that got mixed reviews and was about a subject most people don't care about. Yet it managed to bring in a bigger audience that Spotlight, a movie that won two Oscars and was about a far more compelling subject.

Which is true, if you ignore the facts that

joy made 40% back

Spotlight 1200 theatres

spotlight made back 450% its budget

Joy made no money. The budget was 60 million for production NOT including marketing. It would have needed to make 120 to break even
I have told Faustie so many times but like you say he ignores facts
