Exactly one month after Trump takes office IMDb message boards die.

"The tweet is mightier than the sword." - Donald Trump - who was opposed by Jeff Bezo's The Washington Post (which Trump called a "scam" of course). Jeff Bezo is the owner of Amazon and IMDb. Immediately after taking office Trump has gone after Jeff Bezo just like Hitler shut down the news press that opposed him.

Trump - the Ultimate divide and conquer 'puppet president' for the Illuminati.

To the 250 million users of IMDb...

Say goodbye to your freedom of speech.

Say hello to the new world order.

Google/YouTube are also clamping down hard on free speech - Ghost Banning users without their knowledge (making their comments invisible). They are also automatically sending comments to 'Likely Spam' folders with no option for 'approving' them.

(Google Earth & Pokemon Go were both funded by the CIA)

Most of Donald Trumps speeches are ripped from American History X

American History X: "Are we gonna stand on the side lines, quietly standing there while our country get's raped?"
Trump: "We can no longer allow China to rape our country and that's what they're doing."

Not convinced? Still mesmerised by puppet presidents? Still confused by the illusion of choice? Still brainwashed that you are free?

Holy crap, I just realized that mountsalish died 3 days before she could know Donald Trump won the election. There's no doubt she didn't want him to win.

The Illuminati like to snuff out people who speak out. They try that on me they will die.

I don't like seeing free speech censored but in the case of IMDb, they needed to shut it down if they weren't going to ever regulate it. You can pretty much destroy a board with a tablet and multiple accounts.

I would much rather see IMDb return with moderators, administrators and IP bans, if it does. Many of us went overboard.

Agreed. These boards, while I am glad they are here, are not nearly as active as the IMDb boards, and that is something that I really miss. Then too, a computer problem shut off my access to this website until I got a new laptop, so I wasn't able to post here for a couple of months.

ETA Trump had nothing to do with the IMDb message boards shutting down. That is pure claptrap.

IMDb claims that the message boards to not work with their new user interface though, and that it's a business decision.

Sadly though, the OP is partly onto something. It is a business decision, but IMDb is certainly in favor of shutting down the boards in order to make the site as a whole more favorable with advertisers.

Agree.

I'd say that over 90% of the boards (very rough estimate) are not infested with trollish behavior. This does seem like a business move.

. . . The Bones tell me nothing.

With all due respect the reason IMDb boards die is because more people are moving to other forms of communication. Twitter.
The IMDb is too outdated. Whereas Twitter is more immediate.
More controversial comments are said on Twitter than IMDb.

How is this thread still up according to your fear of being clamped down.
It's easier to use Twitter or Facebook to make comments than on your cell phone app than.
The IMDb has too many trolls spamming anyone's board they don't like. So it's annoying to even sift through a reasonable thread to discuss what the actor/actress's work.

Then you have the endless annoying ads that slow your page down.

what Jordie?

reply

even some of the most controversial boards, like the marvel and dc ones, have trolls but still function.

as i said i came here as a fan a year ago, but the cultists flagged even my most mild criticism.

i would of been happy to let the cultists have their little echo chamber on their threads, to let them post all their stalkerish things in peace.

but they couldnt stand even the slightest criticism

the cultists need to have a long look at themselves, but like trump voters who blame mexicans for their problems, and hilary voters in denial blaming jill stein and bernie, they cant ever take responsibility

The IMDb is too outdated. Whereas Twitter is more immediate. That makes no sense at all.. nobody looks for thoughtful and long conversations about a movie on Twitter.. and just as you said it's too immediate, in a site like Imdb you have the information organized in a list and per subject where people can look it up even decades after the movie has been released.. in Twitter that's just impossible to do, you would find yourself going through thousands of irrelevant rambling until you could find anything even remotely important.

I agree
