The Next generation's Janeane Garofalo

Stephen Holden of the New York Times writes, "The movie (Safety Not Guaranteed) could be a career catapult for Aubrey Plaza ('Parks and Recreation'), a compelling screen presence who suggests the next generation's Janeane Garofalo, but much softer edged."

'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives. Use it. Save a life.

That last line is why I think she will go further than Janeane Garofalo who I also adore. Thrilled to see her movie getting such high marks on meta critic. Shame I have to wait til it's out on DVD in my country. :(

I love both, but JG is very intelligent. I don't see much similarity.

Maybe in personality, Janeane Garofalo at least has the ability to act, so she will always have that edge.

JG at least comes across as having a brain at work. With AP, you have to wonder if the wheel is turning but the hamster is dead in there.

By "next generations Janeane Garolalo", if you mean easily forgettable, i agree. She is not a huge star, and i don't think she will be. She seems like shes a one character actress (uptight, sarcastic b**ch). She is hot, other than that all the characters i have seen her play have been snarky, b**chy, "i don't care what you think of me" characters. The characters she plays though seem pretty close to her actual personality based on interviews I've seen of her.
