Why does Aubrey know how to speak Swedish?

I saw a July 2016 interview on "Watch What Happens Live" with Aubrey Plaza and Alexander Skarsgard as the guests. Aubrey and Alexander spoke some Swedish to each other. He's Swedish but she isn't, I'm curious, why does Aubrey know Swedish?

I don't think that snark was really deserved,

Swedish is a very niche language. It's not something that a lot of Americans would have a chance to pick up.
