Keep eating

That new commercial she's in for (i have no idea) - Wow what a fatty-pig-fatty- and people say she's "hot"?? And she's not very funny. I dont see what the deal is. "I get drunk, i have lots of sex, blah blah blah, conservatives suck".. her whole bit gets old quick. She's played.

I think her day is getting nearly over. The country seems to be tired of celebs and the media telling us how stupid they think we are.

The NY Times is losing subscribers big time and now they are talking about getting back to listening to the people more. Then, Ghostbusters 2016 was a disaster, and I am betting her Barbie movie with Paul Feig attached to it will be a bomb.

No matter how whacko the Amy Schumer/Lena Dunham types are, if they and Hollywood starts getting hit in the pocket book, it will curb these loons.

But do celebs really think that all people are dumb? When has Amy told her audience that she thought that?

The GB remake wasn't a 'disaster', it simply didn't quite meet the producers expectations at the box office. That doesn't mean that no one involved with that movie will ever work again!

I suppose you can boycott the 'barbie' movie if you like, but if it has a good romantic interest to go with the premise, it might do OK.

I just checked and so far it has lost $15 million. Plus, they were planning on making it into a franchise with many sequels planned and that has been shelved.

Then, they insulted people who didn't go see it starting with the awful Paul Feig and then it turned into an awful PR disaster that has cost Sony.

It is a disaster.

First, I am sure not "her" audience as they aren't blasting their fellow lib sheep. But, surely you have watched and heard all her interviews since the election calling anyone who voted for Trump racists, misogynists, homophobes, etc. etc. etc.

I've never seen anything she is in, but I did go to a YouTube the other day of one of her standups. I could barely make 10 minutes as she is so unfunny. And I listened to a Howard Stern interview and she is just so dull.

We will return to this thread when the Barbie movie comes out, but I am guaranteeing right now that movie will bomb big time. And if you think she won't be blasting people yet again, well, pay attention.

But one failed remake doesn't mean the death knell of an entire industry. Isn't "Rogue One" raking it in, for example?

There have always been celebs who are vocal about their political beliefs. We ultimately look to artists as folks who provide escapist entertainment, not 'guidelines for living'.

Agree, I hold out hope she kills herself... Like seriously, I think I'd throw a party.

just curious where you got your numbers...

theres reports (some confliction) that Feig said this film had to make 400 (the other says 500 million) jsut to break even..

which makes sense given it cost 140 million to make in production. since studios only get about 1/2 back of ticket sales, on a box office of 229 million, they only raked in about 115 (and thats ebing generous. also the 140 million figure doesnt count the marketing budget, that was at least 100 million..

i would put the loss at 100 million+, but all sony will admit to, and possibly with blu ray sales and some toys and costumes, its at 70 million as they say

sony was so confident they set up another division jsut to make a ghostbusters extended universe..
