She'd be very good to portray her in the upcoming movie and as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the Carol Danvers version, of course). She looks a lot like the character in the illustrations and from what I've seen of her acting she can definitely pull it off. It'd be great to see her part of a huge and successful movie series like the MCU. Perhaps when The Vampire Diaries finally ends (which it likely will within the next couple of years) Candice can move onto something like the MCU. She should definitely be up for the role and seriously considered for it.

Seems she's actually a fairly popular choice for the role from what I've seen of casting choices on some sites, cool to see. The Captain Marvel movie is being aimed for a 2019 release and I'd imagine TVD would be over with by then so I think right when the last season wraps Candice could film Captain Marvel if she lands the role. Would be awesome for her to take a big leap like that.

Brie Larson has landed Captain Marvel but Candice has expressed wanting to play Dazzler from X-Men. I think she'd be great for Dazzler and with The Vampire Diaries ending after this season she should be available.
