Sorry to sound old fashioned but

I do respect her for taking her husband's name and changing it professional. Not many actresses do that the few that do hyphenate. I know that their legal name and professional name can be different but they can respect their spouses more and change their name professionally as well like Candice did.

I would agree, but...Take most recent example of Kaley Cuoco. She was all happy and stuff, changed her name and all even though it was "only addition". But she had to change it all back...

For professional reasons you cant blame actresses not to change their name. Another two my fav examples are Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan. Both keep their maiden names for acting, but in private, both took their husbands names.

Candice seems really happy though, and is not very, very famous so she can probably afford it.

Yeah but she got married after a couple of months. Candice was with Joe for many years.

Maybe that's part of the problem with Hollywood marriages lasting. By not changing your name and keeping your identity seperate from your spouse it may create subtle but real tension that builds over time with other marital problems increasing it. The two professional name versus real name couples seem to have good relationships as well so maybe that little bit of give kept the subconscious tension down. I have noticed men seem really sensitive about if you don't want to change your name. I am sure some would be totally cool with it, but most, it bugs them even if they say ok honey whatever you want.

Good for her.

Just like in reality if you get a divorce you have to change it back, it's not about what the public thinks or about professional or private reasons. It's about respecting your spouse and that being said you should respect your husband enough to take his name in public as well as private. Hell even Kim Kardashian (who is very famous, more famous then your examples) has the respect of at least going by Kim Kardashian West out of respect to her husband.

Your statement is very one-sided. If a woman legally changes her last name to her husband's why does it matter if she keeps her maiden name for her profession? Shouldn't HER spouse also show respect to her by accepting her choice to keep her maiden name professionally?
