Wear! The! Mask!

If #45 wore his, his weak-ass followers would wear theirs. He complains, so they complain. He has that much influence over them. I effing HATE wearing mine. But what's a few months of your life to help save other lives.

Wear your damn mask.

reply

A few months? It's been almost a year. How much longer do we have to wear these damn things????

reply

if everyone took COVID seriously, we would have returned to normalcy and we could have had a normal holiday season. but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO people have to ruin it because they are absolutely pathetic

reply

Why blaming the people? Thats absurd! Do you usually blame the people because the flu exists?

reply

If they spread it because they are not taking precautions? In one word: yes!!! Duh...

reply

But do you do the same every flu season? You know that one spread too,and kills some people too...but you never cared, because media dont talk about it 24/7 like they do with the silly corona.

reply

[deleted]

Well put; I agree with you. SARS and the Swine Flu killed hundreds of thousands of people too but we didn’t have to wear mask; not once.

reply

Why wouldnt I blame people? They are literally the reason we are where we are.

reply

You want to wear a mask? Good for you! You want to politicize the plandemic and control people because you can’t win the White House? Fuck you Pelosi, Fauci, DeBlasio and every other asshole who downplayed this plandemic and then realized that they couldn’t get Uncle Fester Biden into the White House without a diversion. So, they made this bullshit worse than it really is. You want to wear a mask? Fuck you but, don’t harass people who don’t want to.

reply

YES! The Democrats organized a world wide pandemic that crippled and killed hundreds of millions of people - only to get DONNIE FUCKING TRUMP out of the white house.

reply

Don’t take it from me. The left failed with the Russia Hoax, the impeachment, painting him as a racist..... The plandemic doesn’t strike you as strange that it happened just as the failed impeachment was ending? The left was even downplaying it at first but, then got onboard when they realized Biden could never win without the diversion. Call him what you want but, prior to the plandemic, there was NO WAY President Trump would have lost a FAIR election! The only way Uncle Fester Biden could have won is cheat!

reply

Behind you!

reply

First of all, pandemic doesnt have a meaning. Fauci declared this, not me. Second of all,if you want to be believable in potraying this "terrible virus" of course you have to involve all the world! And America rules all the free world so its not hard to convince the other countries to obbey to America. Third of all, trying to damage Trump was only one of the targets of this corona-show. The others were putting China's economy way above all the other economies, make money with vaccines, reset all the economies in the world, damaging small buisnesses, and promote way more the online commerce. It was a planned event by the freemasons to create a new world, where people is more controlled and less free. Well,it wont work!

reply

Hear hear!

reply

Studies show masks don't even protect against the flu. How are they going to protect us from COVID!?!?

reply

Thank you GingerbreadPimp. My sediments exactly!!!

reply

You guys stupid or something? Masks protect others from your cough/breath! That's all there is to it: you're wearing it to protect others! It's in every guideline ffs.
What the mask does is lower the chance your (potentially) infectious exhalation droplets go places and infect others. So be a gent and do what others do for you because you won't always know whether you have covid-19 or not (many get no symptoms at all) and you could be infectious unknowingly.

reply

COVID is microscopic and can seep through your mask even if you wear it. A piece of clothing is not going to protect from a deadly virus. It's like saying the orange ribbon is going to protect against bladder cancer; it's not gonna happen!!!

reply

Sure. But it does stop (most of) the small droplets you exhale or cough out. Those are the transport means for the virus. It lowers your chances of infecting others. Of course, keeping distance is the main protection and is not substituted for by a mask. But please wear a mask also.

reply

We all wear the masks; everybody does. However, people are still getting sick and dying too so how is this helping anyone??

reply

"Masks protect others from your cough/breath!"

😂 It does NOT!
Heck, I can still smell people's breath through their mask!
I suppose you also think the smell of a fart can't come through ones underwear and pants. 😅

reply

Oder doesn't contain germs (bacteria, virus, etc), moisture does. Your masks protects others from your germs because your mask traps the moisture.

reply

You shouldn't be close enough to smell someone's breath.

reply

Some people should brush their teeth since I can smell them from 6 feet away.

reply

Underwear and a pair of jeans don't even prevent a fart and you think a piece of cloth will prevent virus particles from escaping? A facemask is to virus particles what a sieve is to water: it runs straight through.

reply

[deleted]

I've seen a lot of non-mask wearers and I can assure you that many of them didn't vote Trump.

I can also assure you that no one is changing their minds about the mask based on your post.

reply

Many people do things that aren't good. That does not make them examples to follow.

reply

Already do, people still get sick and the media ignores the lowering rate of death vs rate if infection.

Here's the deal,

Governors increased the rate of death by putting covid patients into nursing homes. That's on those governors, not Trump. Had Clinton been in office, I'm sure the same results would have happened. It's a disease. It doesn't care about politics. The only reason the rate of infection seems so dire is due, mainly, to more testing. Yet, the actual numbers of those who actually die from the diseases alone is exceptionally small. When you see the current death rate reported, they dont show the co-morbidities. This is deceptive and the reason why people, such as yourself, freak out.

If I'm asked to wear a mask, I'll humor the person or business. That doesn't mean its actually doing anything.

reply

It is very easily proven that a mask blocks some of the moisture you exhale. That moisture is the main means for the virus to transport to another host. It is all a matter of lowering the chances of infecting others. Keeping distance is also nothing more than that: lowering the chance that you get in contact with exhaled moisture with virus particles.

reply

"some" as in 5%!

reply

That's 1 in 20 or about 13.500 less dead until now. Probably a lot more as the infection rate R is over 1

So even that 5% is quite important.

However, WHO studies show that the masks decrease the risk of spreading but also catching the virus a lot more than 5%.

reply

Let me understand. You’re saying that a mask which filters 5% of expelled breath extrapolates into saving 5% of the people who would otherwise die of coronavirus? This is a wild jump in logic even for the crazy shit that is routinely posted on this board.

reply

While yes they initially do that, the spread continues as people wear unwashed masks, touch their masks, and wear the mask for more than 30 minutes. Then there's the increase in infection to the wearer. Not only is rebreathing your own exhaust a catalyst for thrush, other issues such as pneumonia are increased by the overuse of mask wearing. So, though you're initially correct, the secondary issues only increase. As I said before, I'll wear it if asked to, but that doesn't mean its actually going to do anything to stop covid 19. The death rate is reducing and the infection rate is just a reflection of more testing.

reply

Wash your hands and your mask often.

reply

Yeah.. I do. Doesn't mean others dont not does it account for the countless interactions your hand and mask have in between washes.

Handles, products, surfaces, etc... its moot. Nice thought though.

In the end, just accept the fact that you're not in full control and the disease exists. Than goodness all the initial projections of the disease have fallen flat on their faces. It's not nearly as deadly as initially thought, most infected people don't even know they have it, and the most vulnerable are easily isolated... unless you're in a nursing home and your governor puts I texted people right next to you (thanks Cuomo, waltz, and Witmer).

reply

Many also have get acne (called "maskne") and tooth decay from wearing masks regularly.

reply

Thrush is on the rise. Its gross.

reply

Only an idiot believes cheap dust masks will save the world from a pandemic.

reply

Certainly. Social distancing and washing your hands often does most. And at least you aknowledge that there's a pandemic. Good luck.

reply

I agree. It's humiliating, uncomfortable, and obscures my beautiful face. But it's WAY better than dying...

reply

How many people who have insisted the masks "don't help" are no longer with us?

reply

Of those infected, 85% of them wore/wear masks regularly.

reply

Interesting. What's your source on that?

reply

It's easy to look up.
Here's one of many:
https://www.ormanager.com/briefs/cdc-85-of-covid-19-patients-report-always-or-often-wearing-masks/

reply

Who publishes this?

reply

I assume you have Internet access.

The CDC study, which surveyed symptomatic COVID-19 patients, has found that 70.6% of respondents reported “always” wearing a mask, while an additional 14.4% say they “often” wear a mask. That means a whopping 85% of infected COVID-19 patients reported habitual mask wearing. Only 3.9% of those infected said they “never” wear a face covering.

reply

I complement you for repeatedly hitting absolute home run bombs with each skeptical question posed by UncleB. It was entertaining
