Yvonne Strahovski nude in Manhattan Night

Well, she finally did it. Yvonne gets completely nude in this film. I heard there were sex/nude scenes in this movie, but I honestly thought they would be shot like Yvonne's "nude" scenes in Dexter, where she was technically naked but also technically didn't really shown anything.

Yvonne shows bare breasts and bare butt in this film. The sex scenes are shot so again you don't actually get full frontal nudity from Yvonne, but she definitely shows more than was shown in her Dexter scenes. Fully naked. Nipples shown. And there can be no claims that Yvonne used a body double for these scenes (a claim that was made for her Dexter scenes). The scenes are shot in such a way that its definitely all her.

The lead actor also sucks on Yvonne's breasts. And she is involved in a masturbation scene and an oral sex scene as well.

All in all, this is definitely new territory for her. I'm curious to see how her fans will react.

wonder if it's because of those fappening photo looks a while back and she was like "*beep* it, nude scenes are a go now"

I think her fans are more worried about the fact that this is a direct to DVD movie and her upcoming projects section is practically non-existent.

Definitely worried about the second one, especially since it looks like she won't be Captain Marvel, either. But I think the larger problem with the film going directly to DVD is that you can't sell the public on film noir these days. You need a film with a higher-profile cast than this and a better translation into the modern day (this film was based on a book that's 20 years old, just before the Internet was in every home).

I don't know what else she can do. She spent her post-Chuck days diversifying her portfolio as best as she could, and it still isn't enough.

Yvonne has a project set to be announced, but that announcement was delayed. One of her agents recently departed the agency and that may have delayed the announcement. So hopefully we'll find out about her project soon.

In a recent interview, Yvonne said that she is looking to play a variety of interesting roles, and most of the roles out there are bland. Claire Danes complained about not getting anything but love interest role offers for a couple of years, which she turned down. She was out of work for two years, because none of the roles offered to her were good enough. Her patience paid off and she wound up with her career-defining role on Homeland.

Personally, I'd love to see Yvonne in a Netflix-style series, or in some gritty, quality independent films. And there's always the possibility of returning to the theatre.

That makes sense I guess. I was expecting an announcement a while ago.

I guess I'd rather Yvonne picked her roles carefully and had a success story like Claire Danes. It's unfortunate that it may mean long gaps between projects though.

I don't know what I'd like to see Yvonne in just hopefully something good. Can't say I'm too much of a fan of Netflix's original content but most of them are generally well received. Indie films are tricky sometimes they turn out great others not so much. Whilst theatre would be nice it'd unfortunately mean further silence from Yvonne for the run of the show.

Either way I'm looking forward too the announcement of her new project.

Yeah that announcement that she said was imminent probably is delayed.

However, unlike what i read in forums, i'm quite happy with Yvonne's part in MN, nudity and all. I'm glad she went all for it and she gave herself to a very juicy role. I mean... movie wise this is the best performance and the best part she has had. The film was just ok (and even that is better than any of her other less than mediocre movies) but her performance (and Brody's) was top notch.

Hopefully this will make her more open to edgier roles and producers keener to cast her in one. I would love to see her in an HBO or Netflix show (a good one of course not just in any show).

And thinking very selfishly, i hope it's not theatre. I know she loves theatre, but that would just mean (like rudie said) that i wouldn't be able to see anything new from her for some time.

Hopefully it's a good upcoming show (not like Astronauts' wives or anything like it)...
