we were studying BMIs this year in health and our teacher said that was about as perfect as you could get for average.
i'm not saying she isn't thin. just maybe it would be more correct to change that little detail.

True that that would be considered average (scientifically) but you must keep in in mind that the average size for women is an 8. She is definitely MUCH slimmer than a size 8, although I do realize she is younger.
