I don't think I'll ever understand all this background/descent

In her biography, it says she's of German, Scottish, French, Cherokee, Mexican, Indian, and Arab heritage. How's that possible?! I mean, is her mother an Arab, Her father Indian, her maternal grandfather Mexican, her maternal grandmother Cherokee, her paternal grandfather French, her paternal grandmother Scottish and one of her great-grandparents German? - or are we talking about great great grandparents or further back kinship? And most importantly, why does it matter?

I know a lot of people think there no such thing as a "real" american, because the USA basically consist of immigrants. I don't know what to think of that, and I actually don't care. But what I really don't understand, is why it's relevant to know where a persons great great grandparents was from.

Do you care?

All these voices in my head, and not a single one I understand.

She's not Indian she is American. I knew the family and went to school with Summer and her brother. Her Father is Saudi Arabian born and bred, I think the family said one of their ancestors had come from India but the family was Saudi. Her mother is a white American. So stop the she's this, she's that, she is an American, whose family lived in the Middle East about 12 years like my did as Expats. Who cares! This only happens in America where they try and take you apart.

No, Her father is not saudi arabian, maybe his nationality is but his ethnicity is Indian, so his ancestry is all from india. So since Summer is American national its pointless to point out that her father was a saudi national when we are talking about her ethnicity, she doesnt have any arabian genes, her father is completely indian in ancestry.
