Never understood Glee fan's completely irrational hatred of Dianna

If you head over to that show's dying message board, she's still getting a ton of hate from Glee fans.

I know, I know; no one gives two $hits about what Glee fans think any more but I seriously don't understand why they hate her so much still. I mean if they can't separate an actor from a part they played, and even then, Quinn wasn't that bad, in fact, she was one of my favorite characters and I always felt that Dianna was robbed of at least a nomination for best supporting actress for her role on the show.

Back on topic; if you can't separate an actor from a part they play, you're seriously delusional. But, considering that Glee had one of the worst fan bases IMHO, this doesn't really surprise me.

Well look what's happening to Bradley Cooper right now. In the movie American Sniper. He play the part of Chris Kyle. And now conservatives are all upset with him because Bradley Cooper went to the Democratic Convention in his home town to listen to President Obama speak. They view this as a knife into the back. How dare Bradley Cooper play the part of Chris Kyle and then go listen to the Democrats.

Again separate the actor from the part they play.

I've seen Glee fans who refuse to even give Supergirl a chance because they're still holding the part Melissa Benoist played on it against her.

Personally, I think that Melissa is a fine actor and deserves all the acclaim she's getting for Supergirl. She was also doing the best she could with a poorly written character and the rehashed plot lines on Glee.

I get that superhero shows aren't everyone's cup of tea but to refuse to watch a show because you're still holding a role an actor played on a poorly-written movie/show against them is just petty.

But, again, this is Glee fans we're talking about; they may be dwindling but they're still a bunch of petty, catty bitches.

Dianna, hated? She was and still is one of the most liked of the cast.

But this isn't about her is it? You are just using her as an excuse to parade your Melissa boner, get help man, you are pathetic.

You are seriously delusional. Glee has been over for how long now.? And yet here you are, still whining and bitching over Melissa's character not being liked. Geezzz.

I remember you, you're the jackass who thinks that the opinion of a few catty @ssholes on Glee's dying IMDb board invalidates the opinion of professional TV critics.

Seriously, did Melissa Benoist bully you and Glee's dwindling fans?

I love how you get so worked up and overgeneralize an entire fandom. It's hilarious.

Just a couple of minutes looking at your history and all you do is bitch and moan about glee fans.

He likely has a bit of a right to.. They were/are a incredibly nasty lot. Hell their still pouring on the hate for Melissa (Supergirl/ Marley Rose) and they nailed Dianna to the cross when ever they could.

I never really got it.. and it really ticked me off reading their comments.

Naya Rivera still gets a ton of hate from Glee's petty, catty dwindling @sshole fans as well.

Which I, again, seriously don't understand. As I'm fond of pointing out, Glee went from being a cultural phenomenon to being largely forgotten and going out with a whimper with a reduced order on its final season in Fox's infamous Friday night "Kiss of Death/Fu©k you Joss Whedon" time slot.

The actors on that show have gone onto other things. From the sounds of it, Diana is receiving plenty of acclaim for her stage work as well as her fashion design.

Something I've noticed about Glee fans is that they seem to think that if an actor isn't starring in a major movie or TV show, it doesn't count; look at the way a lot of them have dismissed Blake Jenner because he's choosing parts in indie movies. Though he was on the short list to play a young Han Solo.

And yeah I know, "boner for Melissa" but playing the lead in a show on a major network like Melissa is, is pretty impressive. I think that Supergirl is really going to find its legs on The CW and I personally can't wait for the planned four night crossover they have planned with Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The way I look at it, Supergirl making the move to The CW and shooting in Vancouver is going to be beneficial; Melissa, Emily Bett Rickards and Katie Cassidy can trade notes on dealing with irrational fan hatred.

Honestly, it really shouldn't come as a surprise that a show about teenage drama is going to attract a bunch immature drama queens and catty queens. And let's face it; Glee has been largely forgotten. "Gleeks" can sit around in echo chambers like the show's dying IMDb board and Tumblr and think that anyone still gives a $hit what they think.

They're doing a wonderful job proving how that show has/had one of the worst fandoms.
