I never noticed his Canadian accent until this season.

Awesome actor and good guy. This second part of season 3 I've really noticed his Canadian accent. Anyone else?

I have a friend in Nova Scotia and one in Australia, when we all Skype the Aussie says she can't tell us apart. I'm originally from MN so don't know if that has anything to do with it.

lol I was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario. So to me, Canadian accents have always sounded like the average mid-western American accent. It wasn't really until I started watching Canada's Worst Driver which has people from all over the country on it that I realized just how starkly different our accents can be from one another.

The accent most Americans and Canadians speak is called "General American."
However, Celine Dion speaks with a distinct Quebec accent.
