Great in The Girl on the Train

Was I the only one who thought so? Personally, I loved Dracula Untold and Fast and Furious 6 and I hope he gets more movie roles!

He was the only one I felt any sympathy for. Everyone he came in contact with including Rachel and Megan were lying to him.

Agree and I was rooting for him,

I only just watched The Girl on the Train recently on Blu-ray, as I missed seeing it at the theatre, and I actually didn't mind it as an adaptation (the biggest issue I had with it was at the end when Anna screwed the corkscrew further into Tom's neck - I felt that bit should've been shown via flashback once they got to the scene of Anna corroborating Rachel's story of what happened, but other than that I didn't mind the film).

I actually had sympathy for all the main characters (except Tom, of course), but especially Rachel and Scott. Yes, she lied to him, but I could understand from her perspective why she did so. That doesn't mean I didn't feel sympathy for his character. I totally did. Especially in his first scene with Rachel. I thought Luke Evans did some really expressive work with his eyes - so much so that I felt bad for him learning what was really going on with Megan and what had happened to her. I don't know, something about his eyes just made me feel sympathy for him.

I also felt bad for Scott when he handed Rachel that bottle of beer - since he didn't know what that gesture really meant for her (though I was mainly feeling sympathy for Rachel there, given the temptation and how at first she refused it...but after Scott lingered for that bit too long, she accepted it). Anyway, I've seen Luke Evans in a few different things, and this was somewhat of a different role than I was used to seeing him in.

I thought Luke Evans was quite intimidating in the movie when he lashed out at Rachel, yelling obscenities at her and getting physical with her. I really felt for Rachel in that scene, whilst at the same time also understanding Scott's anger. I'm glad their two characters came to some sort of 'understanding' by the end of the film (even though it was unspoken).
