Maybe so, in my opinion.
There are a lot of great ones out there right now, but Natalie Dormer (who I first noticed as Anne Boleyn in the Tudors) has shown great range, with deeply compelling portrayals. It doesn't hurt that she's fun to look at as well. Her facial expressions are so expressive, I bet she could do a great performance just miming alone.
Anyone else vote for her, or who would you put up to compete with her?
Definitely the best in her age group. Her range in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is impressive to say the least.
shareI really like her too. She has an interesting look: she's pretty, but with an edge. I'm not sure what it is, but after seeing her as Ann Boleyn I can't imagine anyone else in the role. She nailed the whole theme of this woman who was romantically compelling but morally ambiguous. Really brilliant. Same for her Game of Thrones character.
