Raised £5000 for Childline

She raised £5000 for Childline for running the London Marathon.

I know runners who ran London and they worked all year to raise £2000-3000. Some of them managed to raise £5000. These are people who probably only earn £25000 a year. I think that that is a tiny amount and is a bit of a laugh to the people that spend ages fundraising in order to be able to run the marathon. Is it just me?
