To be honest, I was rather surprised when I found out that Anderson was only 28 years old myself. However, I wouldn't say that Russell Clank looked 40 (hell no). I honestly assumed the character was in his late 20s to early 30s, if only because of his facial hair (that and I assumed Timothy's character was obvious 'elder' between the two). I would say that's more a testament to the make up job than anything having to do with Anderson. Without the Deputy duds and the facial hair, Joe looks quite his age.
