He resembles Johnny Depp too in The Crazies.

I don't really agree that he's too old for the role. He's only 33, and could still pull it off. Val Kilmer was roughly the same age in 1991's "The Doors" as Jim Morrison. A little make up, and it wouldn't matter too much. There is a very strong resemblance, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of it.

He'd be about 6-7 years older than Cobain was, so it might not be too bad (or at least not as bad as the 30 year old "high school kids" on Glee!)
